About the hotel
Hotel "Znaniye" has 64 places, on first three floors of a 13-storeyed house in a cosy green corner of Pankovshchina – ancient area in the downtown of Kiev capital of Ukraine, at the corner of Nikolsko-Botanicheskaya, 31 and Lva Tolstogo streets. On another side of the street from hotel is the Botanical garden n.a. acad. Fomin with relic plantings of magnolias and the greatest in Europe cyclotron. Crossing the Botanical garden, we come on the picturesque parkway Shevchenko, opposite to the Vladimir cathedral.
On distance of 15-20 minute of foot walk from the hotel are: on the south - the Central railway station; on the West - the Victory square, with department store "Ukraine" and Circus; on the east - the National Opera, National University and the renewed park with T.G.Shevchenko monument.
Having become interested in walk, you will not notice, how Sofia and Mihaylovskaya squares will be before you in all beauty with architectural, historical monuments of world value, as, for example, the Sofia Cathedral of ÕII century, monuments of Bogdan Khmelnitskiy, princess Olga. from the Mihaylovskaya square it is possible to go down by a cable car on the Pochtovaya square and at once to appear at river station on quay of the Dnieper river.
At last – the main street of the capital and all Ukraine – Kreschatik street. And this all from hotel by foot – for 15-20 minutes!
Built in 1975, the hotel "Znaniye" accepts lecturers, science officers, scientific, teachers, sportsmen, actors, and now also businessmen from different regions of Ukraine and abroad. The hotel is constantly renewed, changed. But the main thing in it remains without changes: Ukrainian hospitality, sincerity, permanent care of each our visitor.
